Obituary: Leslie "Dale" Crockett - Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK
MARCH 28, 1926 ~ JUNE 4, 2016 (AGE 90)
Leslie Dale Crockett was born in Grove, Oklahoma on March 28, 1926 to John Morgan and Goldie Threewit Crockett. He was the ninth of twelve children. After graduation from Grove high school, he enlisted in the Air Force. In 1948 he married Bonnie Roberts. They had three children: Mike, Susan and Carol. In 1976 Dale married Audrey Musgrave and added her children, Richard and Glenna, to the family. Dale was employed by Oklahoma Natural Gas in Enid, Oklahoma and Texaco in Cut Bank, Montana; LaBarge and Thermopolis, Wyoming. After retirement from Texaco, Dale and Audrey split their time between homes in Ten Sleep, Wyoming and Grove, Oklahoma. Dale and Audrey lived their last years together in Upton, Wyoming under the loving care of Richard and Glenna and their families. After Audrey's passing, Dale returned to his hometown of Grove where he passed away on June 4, 2016. Dale was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Harvey, Lowell, Bill, Harry and Francis; sisters Ruby Lee, Iola, Neva, and Mary Juanita; wife Audrey; sons Mike and Richard and grandson Solon. He is survived by his brothers Don and Gary; daughters Susan (Joe) Carlisle of Billings, MT, Carol (Ed) Crockett of Helena, MT and Glenna (Bob) Riehemann of Upton, WY; granddaughters Megan, Alana, Tara, Michele, Laura, Tina and Janene; 13 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Dale's family would like to extend a special thank you to Gene and Sharon Wiley and Alisha Phillips. Their help, concern and kind care enabled Dale to spend his last years independently in his home. Visitation will be Friday, June 10 from 6 to 8pm at Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 11 at 11am at Buzzard Cemetery in Grove. Dale will be laid to rest next to his son Mike in the Crockett family plot.
