Obituary: Dorine C. Vaughn - The Miami Record - Published 11/05/2005
Dorine C. Vaughn of Miami died Monday, Oct. 24, 2005, in her home following a lengthy illness. She was 59. Vaughn was born March 22, 1946, in Parkerburg, W. Va., to Calvin Gale and Kathleen (Hill) Brooker. They preceded her in death.
Vaughn was a homemaker and a member of the Calico Quilters Guild. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Miami. She married Kenneth Vaughn on April 16, 1988. He survives, of the home.
Additional survivors include one son, Richard Schmoker and his wife J.J. of Yuma, Ariz.; six daughters and their husbands, Debra Lips of El Dorado, Ark., Tammie and Bill Stockle of Goodyear, Ariz., April and Sloane St. John of Washington, Shelly and Joey Fender of Meadville, Mo., Aimee and David Harkins of Shirtz, Texas, and Amber and Mike Aldersea of Universal City, Texas; one sister, Barbara Bridges and her husband Storm of Belton, S.C., and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Miami with the Rev. Rick Longcrier officiating. Burial will be in Buzzard Cemetery in Grove. Pallbearers will be Bob Hunt, Terry Spunaugle, Bill Jones, Ed Walker, Mark Billings and Colby Allen.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami.
