NEW PAVILION COMPLETES WOLF CREEK PARK PHASE III

Thanks to the Bank of Grove and Nichols Marine for donating funds and thanks to GRDA for constructing the new pavilion at Wolf Creek Park.

In addition to the pavilion other landside improvements include:

  • New Sidewalks and Storm Water Drainage
  • Improvements to 16th and 21st Street:
    • The sharp curve was removed from 16th street and the street was squared up with Highway 59, plus a right-turn lane was added
    • 21st Street was widened and a right-turn lane was added
  • Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA) tore out the existing ramps and reconstructed new ramps with the proper slope.  They also constructed new concrete parking at the proper elevation to blend with the proper slope of the new ramps.
  • New concrete parking was added to the South side of the existing ramp parking area
  • The north parking lot on the west side of 16th Street was reconstructed and new asphalt laid along with new striping

The Waterside of Phase III include:

  • Relocating the small dock from the north side of the tuning fork dock to south of the ramps
  • Adding a sidewalk to the ADA dock on the south side of the ramps
  • Changing the anchoring system on the existing tuning fork dock, from sea-flex anchors to pencil anchors
  • Constructing a 200' Mooring Dock in the ramp area
  • Constructing a new 56' x 48' Tuning Fork Courtesy Dock
  • Constructing a new breakwater at the entrance of Wolf Creek cove
