Municipal Clerk and Court Clerk

The Municipal Clerk and Court Clerk is appointed by the City Manager and serves as the Clerk for the City Council, and the Official Keeper of the Records.  She serves as the secretary for the Grove Municipal Services Authority, Grove Economic Development Authority, Planning and Zoning Commission, and other authorities as assigned.

The Municipal Clerk's office is responsible for:

Posting Agenda of meetings per the Open Meeting Act
Recording minutes of meetings per the Open Record Act
Issuance of Business and Occupational Licenses
Issuance of Pet Licenses
Sale of Cemetery lots, and maintaining Cemetery records
Submitting and recording Worker's Compensation Claims

Laura Davila

Laura grew up on Grand Lake visiting her grandparent's lake house every summer.

Laura came to the City of Grove with previous municipal government experience.  She began working for the City of Grove August 13, 2018 as an Administrative Assitant.  Under the guidance of Bonnie Buzzard,previous City and Court Clerk,  Laura learned the role of being a City Clerk and a Court Clerk..

Upon Bonnie's retirement, Laura was able to step in and fullfill the role of City Clerk and Court Clerk.

Laura works closely with residents of the community on a daily basis.  She is responsible for maintaining all the records of the City of Grove, Grove Municipal Services Authority, Grove Economic Development Authority and other trusts and boards.

As the City Clerk, Laura is responsible for maintaining the records of the Cemetery and selling of lots.Laura is a very compassionate person and is able to provide comfort and assist family members during the loss of their loved ones.

Karyn Pesich
Municipal Clerk and Court Clerk

Karyn came to the City of Grove with previous business experience.  She began working for the City of Grove September 7, 2021 as an Administrative Assistant.  She provided assistance to the City Manager, the City Attorney and numerous department heads.

Karyn is a fast learner and her ability to multi-task helped her quickly learn the roles of being a City Clerk and a Court Clerk.  She and Laura Davila work together to keep the City of Grove in operations. 

With the retirement of the previous City Clerk, Bonnie Buzzard, Laura and Karyn have made a smooth transition and continue to provide their services to the citizens of Grove.

Karyn works closely with the Building Inspector to assist residents as well as commercial businesses with the entire process of obtaining building permits from start to finish.

She is responsible for maintaining all the records of the Grove Economic Development Authority, the Planning and Zoning Commission,the Convention Tourism Bureau and other trusts and boards.
