MAINTENANCE/LABORER

SUMMARY:  UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE UTILITY SUPERINTENDENT, THE WATER & SEWER MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEE PERFORMS RESPONSIBLE DUTIES BY MAINTAINING A SAFE AND WORKING SYSTEM WITH GENERAL MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP AND MAINTAINING ALL REQUIRED PAPERWORK. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Road Closure Industrial Rd Beginning May 1st

Beginning Wednesday May 1st, city crews will be closing Industrial Road (S 640) from the highway (E 290) to Industrial Road 5. Traffic will be detoured to Industrial Road A to Industrial Road 5. Crews will be replacing the drainage structure crossing S 640. Once the structure is complete S 640 will be repaved. Closure is expected to last 2 weeks pending weather. 

City Hall/GMSA Offices Have Moved to 1201 NEO Loop

City Hall and GMSA Offices have moved to a new location in the Grove Business Park behind the Post Office and Grove Library, 1201 NEO Loop.

Sewer Rehab Project construction begins April 1

Capital Sewer Project

Beginning April 1st Tri Star Construction will be constructing a sewer rehabilitation project for Grove Municipal Services Authority.  The contractor will either be lining existing manholes and mains, or replacing pending the condition. Click the link below to view a map of the area to be rehabbed. This project will have minimal impact on traffic flow. Please use caution in work zones. Mechanic

The City of Grove is accepting applications for a full-time Mechanic.  Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent.  A minimum of three years experience in automotive and diesel repairs is preferred.  Selected applicant must pass pre-employment drug screening and physical.
