Does the City of Grove have a full-time Fire Department?

The City of Grove has a combination fire department.  Currently consisting of six full-time and 25 volunteers, which are relied upon heavily to provide public safety to the citizens of our community.

How do I get a pot hole patched?

Call 918-786-6107 and report the location of the pot hole, it will be added to the list for the next scheduled patching day.  You may also submit the online form requesting a pot hole location be added to the list.

How do I get my driver's license reinstated?

The Court Clerk or Municipal Judge does not have the authority to reinstate your driver's license. You must call and speak with a Department of Public Safety (DPS) representative as 405-425-2424.

How do I rezone my property?

Submit an Application, the required documents plus a $200 fee.  The application is available on the City's website and at City Hall, 104 W. 3rd Street.  Staff will begin processing the application upon receipt of all documents and the fee.

After proper notice, the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council will hold a Public Hearing to take comments regarding the re-zone request.  The City Council will make the final decision on the re-zone request.

How many calls a year does the Grove Fire Department respond to?

In 2018 the Grove Fire Department responded to 1,822 incidents, this year (2019) we are on track to reach 1,863.  This averages out to be 155 calls per month.

How many Garage or Yard Sale signs are allowed?

OFF-PREMISE GARAGE/YARD SALE SIGNS ARE ALLOWED (ONLY under the following conditions)

  • A Garage/Yard Sale Permit is obtained from the City of Grove;
  • Only two (2) off-premise signs are allowed per sale;
  • Signs shall be placed on private property only; written permission from property owner shall be submitted prior to permit being issued;
  • Dates and physical address/location of sale shall be listed on the sign;
  • Signs shall not be placed more than three (3) days prior to sale and must be removed within twenty-four (24) hours of close of sale;
  • Maximum display area allowed is four (4) sq. feet per side;
  • Off-Premise signs shall be the type of signs sold at retail stores specifically designed for garage/yard sales;
  • Each permitted garage/yard sale will be included on the weekly listing that will be available at the drive-up window located on the south side of City Hall.

THE FOLLOWING IS PROHIBITED

  • Signs drawn or placed on automobiles, cardboard boxes, poster board, wood or similar materials;
  • Balloons, banners, streamers, etc.;
  • Signs placed upon any public property, right-of-way or easement (sidewalks, streets, intersections, bridges, etc.)
  • Signs placed on natural features (rocks, trees, etc.)
  • Signs placed on utility poles or fences

VIOLATION OF SIGN ORDINANCE WILL RESULT IN FINES BEING ISSUED.  EACH DAY A VIOLATION OCCURS IS CONSIDERED A SEPARATE OFFENSE AND FINES WILL BE ISSUED ACCORDINGLY.
