Contractor hits limestone causing Storm Siren install North of Sailboat Bridge to be delayed

When the City of Grove annexed highway 59 corridor north of Sailboat Bridge, a Service Plan was established.

The Service Plan included the Emergency Management Department installing a storm siren in the newly annexed area.  Although, it has been difficult to receive materials in a timely manner, the siren and installation materials have arrived.  The installation of the storm siren began on September 6, 2023, due to contractor hitting solid limestone, the install is delayed until the week of September 12.
