Gas
GMSA NATURAL GAS DEPARTMENT
Grove Municipal Services Authority provides Natural Gas service to 6500 customers, the cities of Afton, Fairland and Jay, the Simmons Feedmill located in the Fairland Industrial Park and the Compressed National Gas Fueling Station located at Highway 59N and O'Daniel Avenue.
The Natural Gas system is made up of:
- 19 miles of Transmission line with a maximum allowable operating pressure of 450 PSI
- 26.5 miles of steel Distribution line
- 134 miles of poly Distribution line
The Natural Gas Department employees are responsible for
- Maintaining regulation stations
- Maintaining, repairing and replacing existing Natural Gas lines
- Installing and repairing Natural Gas meters
The GMSA Natural Gas System is regulated by the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC), and the system is inspected annually by OCC to make sure the Natural Gas System is in compliance with National and State regulations.
