Obituary: John Franklin Moore - Lawson's Funeral Home, Grove, OK
John Franklin Moore, 73, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 in Tulsa, OK. He was born on January 19, 1943 in Durant, OK to Goldie Frank Moore and Melba Rohades Moore. John served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from the United States Navy after serving 20 years of military service. He enjoyed living life to the fullest, traveling, outdoorsman, and spending quality time with his friends and family. John is preceded in death by his grandson, Andrew Olson, and is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty Moore of Grove, OK; daughter, Kimberly “Kim” Gourd of Grove, OK; son, Donald F. Moore and his wife Shawna of Wyandotte, OK; 3 grandchildren, Holly, Vince, and Maddy; great-granddaughter, Lilly; great-grandson, Koda; sister, Lena Findley; nephew, Todd; numerous family and friends. John’s Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, 2:00pm, April 30th, 2016 at Old Olympus Cemetery, Grove, OK with Military Honors. Burial to follow at Old Olympus Cemetery, Grove, OK.
