Grand Lake has been home to not one, but two Bassmaster Classics (in 2013 and again in 2016). In 2013, Cliff Pace won the Classic with a three-day total of 54 pounds, 12 ounces. Earlier this year, it was Oklahoma’s own Edwin Evers earning a Classic win with a 60-pound, 7-ounce total. Kevin VanDam and Mike McClelland have won previous Elite Series events on this 46,500-acre impoundment, which ranks eighth in the central divisions of Bassmaster’s Best 100 Lakes listing. Hosting the tournament is the City of Grove.

Welcome to the Mid-South Tackle, Hunting, & Boat Show!  This show is host to a variety of outdoor entertainment, products, and good family fun that everyone can enjoy.  The Montgomery Productions longest running tackle and hunting expo to great state of Oklahoma.

Following is a list of the roadway improvements scheduled for completion in 2017:

Overlay AC - Structural

• E 10th from E side of Cherokee to W side of Shundi
• W 10th from W side of Center to E side of Leisure
• Leisure from US-59 to N side of Baycrest

Patching & Sealing - AC

• Woodland Hills from S side of State Park Rd to E side of Lakewood

Reprocess and Overlay

At their regular meeting on December 20, 2016, Council appointed members to the Board of Adjustments; Ben Hampton will serve on an unexpired term ending 10/31/2017 and Steve Ward will serve a three year term ending 10/31/2019.

The Board of Adjustments meets at the call of the Chairman and is open to the public.

City Hall will be closed Monday, January 2, 2017 in observance of New Year's Day.

The City of Grove was awarded a REAP grant in the amount of $10,000 to go towards the cost of holding a one-day Hazardous Household Waste and Electronic Waste collection event.

       Baycrest Avenue - Leisure Lane to Rockwood
       Rockwood Drive - Harber Road to Hillside Drive

Mill Overlay/Patch projects --
       Leisure Lane - Harber Road to Baycrest Avenue
       Dawn Street - 4th Place to 5th Place

To allow our employees to celebrate the Christmas holiday with their families, City Hall will be closed Friday, December 23 thru Monday, December 26, 2017.

The Sweet Annie Herb Club of Grand Lake will be hosting the 2016 Christmas Thyme Tour of Homes on December 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
