Council appoints Read and Ward to Planning & Zoning Commission

On November 1, 2016 the Grove Mayor and Council appointed Judith Read and Steve Ward to serve as members of the Planning & Zoning Commission.  Both Read and Ward will serve three-year terms, expiring on 10/31/19.

Mayor & Council adopt Annexation Plan

On November 1, 2016, the Mayor and City Council adopted an Annexation Plan to establish guidelines which mirror the Oklahoma State Statutes.

AEP/PSO begins trimming vegetation October 24

AEP/PSO will be utilizing an Aerial Saw to trim vegetation away from distribution lines in the Vinita/Choteau/Grove area.  The scheduled start date is Monday, October 24.  Crews will start in Vinita, then move to Grove and Choteau.

The Aerial Saw is used to trim vegetation near rural portions of the distribution system.  Ground crews will follow behind to clean up debris and regulate traffic.  Property owners have been notified of the work to be performed.

GRDA Shoreline Clean-up October 22

GRDA will hold their annual Shoreline Clean-up on October 22, 2016, lunch will be provided.

GRAND BOBBER DROP AUGUST 13

Great Grand Bobber Drop, Saturday, August 13, 2016

Bobbers will be dropped from the air at the following locations:

  • Honey Creek
  • Sailboat Bridge
  • Shangri-La
  • Elk River

Retrieve the bobbers and turn them in at the Grand Lake Sports Center, 301 South Main Street and Grand Lake Casino Hwy 10 to win 100's of PRIZES donated by the Grand Lake areas merchant.

GRAND PRIZE IS $2,500 provided by grand lake casino

August 23, 2016 is the last day to turn in bobbers.

Final paving, striping and clean-up underway on Baycrest and Rockwood

                 2016-2017 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS BEGIN

Weather permitting contractors will begin paving on Baycrest Thursday, August 18 and shall be complete by Friday, August 19.  To provide adequate time for the asphalt to be ready for traffic, Baycrest will be open to traffic the week of August 22.

Rockwood will be closed beginning August 29 for striping and clean-up, with weather permitting, the street will be open the next day.

Following the completion of striping Rockwood, Baycrest will be closed for 1 - 2 days for striping.
